Job summary

Preferred Apartment Communities is seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations, schedule repairs, and support a team of technicians across the property. You’ll manage work orders, inspect life-safety systems, pools, elevators, and lighting while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, supervisory skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on repair experience (apartment maintenance preferred).
• 1–2 years of supervisory responsibility.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Type II or Universal refrigeration certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform demanding physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily maintenance operations by completing and prioritizing work orders.
• Maintains property functionality through shop management, inventory control, and inspections.
• Leads and supports maintenance staff by delegating requests and supervising technicians.
• Coordinates contractor work, monitors performance, and ensures quality and budget adherence.
• Delivers strong resident service through professional communication and timely resolution.
• Handles supplemental tasks including light cleaning and community communications.
