Job summary

General Services Corporation (GSC) is seeking a Maintenance/Grounds worker to upkeep the premises of multi-family residential communities. The role focuses on cleanliness, curb appeal, and safe operation of grounds and facilities.

The ideal candidate has janitorial or grounds experience, is comfortable with tools, and can follow procedures. Must have a valid SC driver’s license and be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. On-site work with year-round duties.

Qualifications

• Must have willingness to handle regulated chemicals and/or materials.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residency, acceptable driving record, and own transportation.
• Experience in janitorial and/or grounds work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of breezeways, hallways, leasing office, clubhouse, model apartments, fitness center, service shop, and restrooms.
• Maintain condition of company vehicles and golf carts, including service checks and monthly wash.
• Complete work orders using Servus Connect ticket system.
• Maintain curb appeal using tools like power blower and pressure washer.
• Perform all tasks on Turnover Checklist and GSC Form #905.
• Be available for inclement weather maintenance before, during and after.
• Review and comply with O&M Plans and Programs training requirements.
• Report illegal activity, hazards, disturbances, or pet violations to Leasing Office as soon as possible.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

Overall responsible for the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings of multi-family residential apartments. Focused on keeping the property's cleanliness, physical appearance & curb appeal.

• Maintain Cleanliness of building breezeways and hallways, leasing office, clubhouse, model apartments, fitness center, service shop, and service restrooms.
• Maintaining the condition of company vehicle and/or golf carts which includes service checks and monthly wash.

• Performing all tasks on the Turnover Checklist and Ready for Approval form (GSC Form #905).

• Reviewing, understanding complying and fulfilling training requirements for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Plans and Programs.
• Support the Company’s efforts to ensure the property is enforcing the company standards by reporting any illegal activity, hazards, disturbances, or pet violations to the Leasing Office as soon as possible.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Experience: Janitorial and/or grounds experience preferred.

• Must consent to work with regulated chemicals and/or materials and/or substances.
• Must have a valid driver’s license within the state of residency, an acceptable driving record and own transportation.
