Job summary

General Services Corporation in Summerville, SC is seeking a Maintenance/Grounds worker responsible for keeping building exteriors, grounds, and common areas clean and well-maintained. You will perform light repairs, operate tools, and support turnover tasks to ensure curb appeal.

The role requires high school diploma (preferred), janitorial or grounds experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, valid driver’s license, and willingness to work in varied weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Janitorial/grounds experience preferred.
• Must consent to work with regulated chemicals.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of breezeways, hallways, leasing office, clubhouse, model apartments, fitness center, service shop, and restrooms.
• Maintain the condition of company vehicle and/or golf carts including service checks and monthly wash.
• Complete work orders using Servus Connect.
• Maintain curb appeal with power blower, pressure washer and other tools as needed.
• Perform turnover tasks and Ready for Approval checks (GSC Form #905).
• Be available for inclement weather maintenance before, during, and after.
• Review and comply with Training requirements for the O&M Plans and Programs.
• Report any hazards, illegal activity, or disturbances to the Leasing Office.

Essential Job Functions

• Reviewing, understanding complying and fulfilling training requirements for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Plans and Programs.
• Support the Company’s efforts to ensure the property is enforcing the company standards by reporting any illegal activity, hazards, disturbances, or pet violations to the Leasing Office as soon as possible.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Experience: Janitorial and/or grounds experience preferred.

• Must consent to work with regulated chemicals and/or materials and/or substances.
• Must have a valid driver’s license within the state of residency, an acceptable driving record and own transportation.
