Job summary

AIR Communities is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician at our Walnut Hill Las Colinas community. This full-time, regular role is in the Maintenance department and focuses on turning apartments and servicing requests.

You will perform basic repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances; you may train other technicians and participate in move-in/move-out inspections. A flexible schedule, on‑call shifts, and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Proficient in at least two technical trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Reliable transportation to respond to emergency requests.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Comfort with physical activity and moving heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents and assist the team.
• Follow processes for basic apartment turns to ready units for new moves.
• Perform resident-reported repairs and routine maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances).
• Potentially train other Maintenance Technicians and support skill development.
• May assist with vendor quality and move-in/move-out inspections.
