Job summary

Link Apartments Linden is seeking a full‑time Service Technician to perform comprehensive maintenance, complete work orders promptly, and prepare apartments for occupancy. You will service HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry tasks, and participate in preventative maintenance while ensuring a safe, well‑kept community.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience, HVAC certification, and may need a Certified Pool Operator license.

Qualifications

• Two to five years’ experience in this field.
• Strong knowledge of heat pump, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and carpentry.
• Must have HVAC certification; must have or be willing to obtain a Certified Pool Operator license.
• Pleasing personality and ability to work with and understand the problems and attitudes of residents.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Good organizational skills and interest and enthusiasm for the job.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and maintains HVAC systems, plumbing upkeep, roofs and gutters, and recreational facilities.
• Assists with turning make‑ready apartments and inspection of make‑ready units; paints and prepares apartments.
• Leaves written explanations of work performed in each unit for residents.
• Ensures residents have a clean, safe and well‑maintained community and good relations with maintenance staff.
• Assist with pool operation and maintenance, including chemical levels and pool equipment.
• Completes all work orders within 24 hours.
• Adheres to directives and safety requirements; shares 24‑hour emergency call duties.
• Learns all aspects of on‑site maintenance and prepares apartments for occupancy.
• Keeps tools and equipment in good condition; reports hazards or emergencies.
