Job summary

Stone Mountain Management is seeking an energetic Apartment Leasing Agent in Houston, TX. You will handle leasing activities, tours, and renewals for a multi-family community, ensuring smooth move-ins and strong resident relations.

The role requires strong customer service, sales experience, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM, with a lunch break; benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or GED, or 1 year leasing or 2+ years in Sales/Hospitality/Customer Service.
  • CALP certification preferred.
  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Experience with multi-family housing software (OneSite, Entrata, MRI, Blue Moon, Yardi) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sales and leasing activities for new leases and renewals, greet prospects, qualify applicants, and prepare leases and move-in packages.
  • Schedule tours and follow up with leads via email, notes, and calls.
  • Prepare renewal letters and packages; engage renewing residents before move-out dates.
  • Respond promptly to resident and owner inquiries and document requests.

Apartment Leasing Agent

Full Time Houston, TX, US

Salary Range: $16.00 To $23.00 Hourly

Job Description:

Stone Mountain Management is looking for an outgoing and skilled leasing agent to join our team of multi-family apartment community management professionals. This position works closely with onsite property management to assist in new resident lease sales and resident retention programs.

The ideal candidate would process:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs sales and leasing activities to promote both new lease sales and lease renewals, including greeting prospective residents, qualifying applicants, conducting community tours, showing apartments, processing applications, conducting credit screenings and criminal background checks, preparing leases and move-in packages, and ensuring smooth resident move-in and lease signing.
  • Schedules property tours and follows up on leads for potential renters and new residents by sending e-mails, thank-you notes, and cards or making telephone calls.
  • Executes and performs activities supporting the community’s lease renewal program by preparing lease renewal letters and packages for residents, meeting with and contacting renewing residents in advance of move-out dates, and ensuring that lease renewal documents are signed and implemented on time.
  • Responds quickly and courteously to resident and owner concerns and questions and takes proper action to solve problems and/or document and convey resident or other requests to the appropriate individuals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States required
  • Required High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or at least one year of direct experience as a leasing agent or two or more years related experience and/or training in Sales, Hospitality, or Customer Service, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Apartment Leasing Profession CALP preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Knowledge of Multi-Family Housing software such as Onesite, Entrata, MRI, Blue Moon, and Yardi preferred

Monday - Friday 9 AM to 6 PM, with 1 hour Lunch break.
