Job summary

JES Holdings, operating Fairway Management (FWM), seeks an Apartment Porter in Charleston, SC to maintain curb appeal and the cleanliness of the community. You will support the maintenance team by ensuring common areas, amenities, and vacant units are clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Ideal candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team, with a focus on safety, customer service, and timely task completion in all weather

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous porter, janitorial, groundskeeping, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of community grounds, parking areas, sidewalks, and common areas.
• Pick up trash and debris throughout the property on a daily basis.
• Clean and maintain leasing offices, fitness centers, clubhouses, laundry facilities, and other shared amenities.
• Assist with preparation of vacant apartments for new residents, including cleaning and light maintenance support.
• Monitor grounds and report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to management.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests.
