Job summary

JES Holdings is seeking an Apartment Porter to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and curb appeal of our apartment communities. You will support the maintenance team by keeping common areas, grounds, amenities, and vacant units clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors.

The role requires a reliable, detail-focused individual with good communication and customer service skills. You may work full-time hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends or on-call shifts based on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous porter, janitorial, groundskeeping, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow directions and prioritize tasks.
• Reliable transportation and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds, parking areas, sidewalks, and common areas.
• Pick up trash and debris daily.
• Clean and maintain leasing offices, fitness centers, clubhouses, laundry facilities, and other shared amenities.
• Assist with preparation of vacant apartments for new residents, including cleaning and light maintenance support.
• Monitor grounds and report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to management.
• Remove bulk trash and assist with dumpster area organization.
• Perform pressure washing, sweeping, and general property upkeep as needed.
• Assist maintenance technicians with moving appliances, supplies, and equipment.
• Respond promptly to property needs during adverse weather conditions, including snow removal or storm cleanup when applicable.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests.
