Job summary

Affinity is seeking a Porter for two apartment communities in San Antonio, TX. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, with a schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The position requires reliable transportation and at least 1 year of porter/groundskeeping experience, handling janitorial tasks and property upkeep. The compensation includes a starting wage of $18.00 per hour along with a monthly $200 transportation allowance and a 20% rent discount subject to availability, plus comprehensive

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• 1+ years of porter/groundskeeping experience.
• Knowledge of janitorial services including sweeping, mopping, trash pickup, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Demonstrates teamwork, good hygiene, ethical behavior and integrity, customer service and communication skills.
• Approximately 90% inspecting property grounds, including apartments, building structure, landscaping, and signage; may require climbing stairs, scaffolds, ladders, and maneuvering walkways.
• Approximately 10% in office environment using computer or tablet and phone.
• Frequent lifting, pushing, carrying or pulling of 20-50 pounds.
• May be required to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial services for interior and exterior of the building, including sweeping, mopping, trash pickup, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Operate a leaf blower and pressure washer.
• Assist in maintenance duties as assigned by Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Promote community cleanliness and curb appeal to residents and guests.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces as necessary.
• Interact with current and future community members in a professional, courteous, and non-discriminatory manner.
