Adara Communities is hiring an Apartment Assistant Maintenance Technician in Addison, TX. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, responding to resident service requests, and supporting make-readies and upgrades.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in multifamily maintenance, an HVAC license, and owns basic tools, with on-call availability and a valid driver's license. You will work closely with the Lead Maintenance Technician, contribute to a safe, clean community, and provide excellent service

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years apartment maintenance experience in multifamily.
Valid HVAC license required.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, pools.
Troubleshooting and time-management abilities.
Own basic hand tools; willing to work on-call.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Live within 20 miles of the property or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily service requests for residents.
Support unit make-readies and apartment upgrades.
Perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, appliances, and pool upkeep.
Collaborate with Lead Maintenance Technician on projects.

What You'll Do as an Apartment Assistant Maintenance Technician:

We're looking for an experienced Assistant Maintenance Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. In this role, you will:

Assist with completing daily service requests for residents
Support the team with unit make-readies and apartment upgrades
Perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and pool repair/upkeep
Work closely with the Lead Maintenance Technician on assigned projects
Help maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning community
Participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled
Use and maintain your own tools in a professional manner
Provide exceptional customer service to residents and coworkers

What We're Looking For in an Apartment Assistant Maintenance Technician:

Minimum 2Yearsapartment maintenance experience in the multifamily industry (REQUIRED)
Valid HVAC License REQUIRED
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, pools, and general repairs
Strong troubleshooting and time-management abilities
A personal set of basic hand tools
Willingness to work on-call as scheduled
A positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
Important: Candidates must live within a 20-mile radius of the property or be willing to relocate.

Working Environment for the Apartment Assistant Maintenance Technician:

This role requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Team members must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

Most work occurs in an outdoor environment, with occasional off-site tasks as needed. All employees must adhere to the company's uniform policy, provided on the first day of employment.
