Job summary

Plan International is seeking a Regional Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Coordinator to strengthen disaster readiness and response across the Asia Pacific region. The role oversees R2R, monitors crisis trends, and supports the CiCF donor reports while representing Plan in technical working groups.

It involves deployments to emergencies and capacity-building for country offices. The post collaborates with the Regional Head, resilience teams, and external partners to improve accountability

Qualifications

• Documented experience from disaster risk management work, including disaster preparedness, readiness and managing response programmes.
• Documented experience from at least 2 major disaster events, working in disaster/high risk environments.
• Trainer/facilitator on humanitarian issues (CPiE, EiE, CVA, SRHRiE or WASHiE) and Gender in Emergencies.
• Ability to prioritise and manage complex workload with tight deadlines.
• Experience working with institutional donors/fundraisers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for humanitarian preparedness, readiness and response in APAC.
• Coordinate regional and country office activities across 15 countries.
• Contribute to accountability to affected people (AAP) and GiHA networks.
• Deploy to emergency responses and support COs as technical advisor.
• Promote donor reporting and CiCF fund management; support training delivery.
