Job summary

Stellar Development Foundation is seeking an APAC-based business development leader to scale momentum at the intersection of partnerships and institutional relationships. You will shape SDF's presence in APAC and drive partnerships from initial engagement to live integration.

You will own regional priorities across five hub markets, manage cross-functional programs, and collaborate with centralized teams to keep deals moving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Master's Degree or MBA is preferred.
• 7+ years of business development, partnerships, or ecosystem experience with APAC focus.
• Deep relationships across APAC fintech, payments, blockchain, and institutional landscape.
• Experience in blockchain, digital assets, stablecoins, or tokenization.
• Understanding of cross-border payments, DPI, and financial inclusion.
• Experience leading multi-stakeholder partnership negotiations and closing complex deals.
• Regulatory experience in APAC markets (e.g., MAS, HKMA, FSA).
• Excellent communication across diverse audiences; English fluency; Mandarin/Japanese a plus.
• Based in APAC with willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Own APAC business development priorities across hub markets (Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan, Australia).
• Lead in-market execution: conferences, ecosystem meetups, strategic meetings, roundtables, and ownership of events.
• Collaborate with APAC Market Development Director to align priorities and co-own key stakeholder relationships.
• Build and close high-value partnerships with fintechs, payment platforms, wallets, exchanges, and developers.
• Coordinate with marketing, legal, integrations, and product to move deals from sign-off to live integration.
• Develop and manage institutional relationships with banks, licensed digital asset platforms, and payment majors.
• Represent SDF at regional conferences and own APAC events and content initiatives.
