Job summary

Canonical is seeking a Graduate HR Generalist to support our APAC region from a remote location. You will handle HR inquiries, maintain HRIS data, and own global projects like engagement and culture initiatives.

The role collaborates with managers and executives and supports onboarding, benefits, and payroll workflows. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication, integrity, adaptability, and initiative, with a track record of high achievement and a willingness to travel for internal

Qualifications

• Track record of exceptional achievement from high school and graduate studies.
• Internship experience in HR/People team beneficial, preferably in Technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to prioritize complex workloads, manage time effectively and work under pressure.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
• Flexible attitude and easily adaptable to change; willing to take initiative.
• Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support by answering team members' questions and responding to requests regarding employment and contracts.
• Maintain our HRIS with accuracy and timeliness for changes and new joiners.
• Own global projects (e.g. engagement, training or culture initiatives).
• Partner with managers and employees to support HR processes and drive people strategy.
• Work as a global partner to colleagues, including leads, managers and executives.
• Process new hires, onboarding documentation, file creation, and system setup.
• Support enrollment and processing of benefits and payroll data; ensure timely monthly data.
• Liaise with payroll to guarantee smooth salary payments.
• Create purchase orders for internal departments.
• Provide administrative support for benefits enrollment.
• Regular audits of employment files and systems for GDPR compliance.
• Identify process improvements to advance the HR function.
