Job summary

PitchBook, a Morningstar company, seeks a data operations leader to guide APAC teams, drive recruiting, and mentor managers across the region. You will influence data strategies, collaborate with Sales and Product, and ensure quality across datasets.

You will manage 6 direct reports and shape long-term APAC data expansion while delivering cross-functional collaboration and strong governance. Office-based role in Seattle with some remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field, or foreign equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s with 3 years of related experience.
• Must have multi-regional people management experience, recruiting, and team development.
• Experience with SQL/Python to analyze data and improve workflow; BI tools (Power BI) for KPI tracking; automation/AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Foster department culture and champion DEI across the department (5%).
• Lead recruiting and hiring across APAC data operations teams, including phone screens and on-site interviews (2%).
• Train and ramp new hires on APAC data operations teams (2%).
• Maintain regular 1:1s with direct reports to review performance and career development (8%).
• Create quarterly benchmarking documents on APAC datasets (2%).
• Develop expansive APAC market knowledge of data providers (5%).
• Participate in bi-weekly Data Operations Leadership meetings (5%).
• Develop and drive APAC teams’ vision and strategic initiatives (30%).
• Perform QA on production profiles across APAC datasets (10%).
• Support development, documentation, and rollout of APAC research methodologies (10%).
• Prepare biweekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews on APAC data ops (3%).
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and staffing with the director (3%).
• Collaborate with Sales/CS/Go-To-Market to prioritize enhancements (10%).
• Partner with Product/Engineering to enhance data collection tools (5%).
• 15 days remote work flexibility for a whole year.
• 6 direct reports: 4 Leads & 2 Senior Associates.
