Job summary

Sentry in San Francisco is seeking an APAC Technical Support Engineer to join our global Support Engineering team. This role provides APAC coverage for our users; Sundays through Thursdays 4 PM–12 AM PST.

You will architect the Technical Support engine, combining deep human expertise with autonomous agentic systems. You’ll debug both code and systems and engage with users across GitHub, Discord, and our internal tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in technical support engineering, systems engineering, or software development.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and frontend-to-database paths.
• Practical familiarity with LLM orchestration (RAG, context windows, system prompts).
• Exceptional ability to explain architecture to humans and write precise AI instructions.
• Open source contributor with GitHub presence.
• Former software developer with hands-on coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Master the Sentry ecosystem and support elite developers.
• Deep-dive debugging across polyglot environments.
• Advise senior engineers at large enterprises on architecture.
• Troubleshoot SDK implementations to instrument frameworks.
• Bridge users and product teams with data-driven feedback.
• Develop agentic operations and scalable autonomous resolutions.
• Build deterministic support paths using model context.
• Develop agentic tooling with MCP and internal APIs.
