Job summary

SentrySoftware is seeking an experienced Platform Engineering leader to own the AI-assisted coding domain across the engineering org. You’ll audit internal systems for API-readiness, expose tools programmatically, and build connections so AI agents can operate end-to-end.

The role emphasizes cross-team collaboration, building harnesses, context systems, and CI/CD improvements to reduce toil and accelerate software delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building tools or workflows to improve developers or AI agents.
• Strong software and system design fundamentals.
• Heads-on with AI coding tools and agents; ML experience not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to senior leadership.
• Track record driving cross-team technical initiatives to completion.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems (nice to have).
• Experience with developer experience or engineering productivity programs (nice to have).
• Familiarity with code review tooling / static analysis / automated PR pipelines (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Audit internal systems and make them API-ready for AI agents; prioritize and expose them programmatically.
• Build harness tooling, context systems, and feedback loops for repository-aware PR quality.
• Automate high-volume, low-priority engineering tasks to free engineers for strategic work.
• Design internal tools: productivity dashboards, AI-assisted triage, and CI/CD optimizations.
• Identify friction, propose solutions to leadership, and drive cross-team buy-in.
