Job summary

AmeriPath North Texas is seeking a laboratory-based AP/CP General Surgical Pathologist to join a team of 19 pathologists in the Greater Dallas area. The role includes GYN cytology, GU, Breast, ENT, and GI biopsy work with a strong focus on quality and collaboration.

Qualified candidates hold an MD/DO with pathology residency, board certification in AP/CP, and TX licensure eligibility. Subspecialty fellowship is a plus, with 2–3 years post-residency experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology required.
• 2–3 years post-residency experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of pathology cases including Gynecologic, GU, Breast, Head and Neck and GI biopsy work.
• Work in a laboratory-based role within AmeriPath North Texas.
• Maintain strong communication with laboratory decision-makers and the pathology team.

AP/CP General Surgical Pathologist - Greater Dallas, TX Area

AmeriPath has over 400 highly trained, board-certified pathologists and Ph.D. level scientists providing services to physicians, hospitals, clinical laboratories, and ambulatory surgery centers across the United States.

Responsibilities

AmeriPath North Texas based in Lewisville, TX is seeking a laboratory-based pathologist with board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology to join their team of 19 pathologists. The pathologist will handle an interesting variety of cases including Women's Health (GYN) including GYN Cytology, GU, Breast, Head and Neck (ENT) pathology, and a smaller volume of GI biopsies.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree plus accredited pathology residency


• Must be board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology


• Subspecialty fellowship is desirable, but not required


• 2-3 years post residency experience desired


• Must hold valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in TX or be eligible to obtain licensure


• Must hold active privileges in facility where any inpatient work is interpreted


• Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations


• Ability to communicate with decision makers in the laboratory and Company
