Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with accredited pathology residency.
• Board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology.
• Cytopathology board certification a plus.
• 2–3 years post residency experience desired.
• TX medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Active privileges in the facility where inpatient work is interpreted.
• Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations.
• Ability to communicate with decision makers in the laboratory and company.

AP/CP General Surgical Pathologist with Medical Directorship Responsibilities – Arlington, TX

AmeriPath in Arlington, TX is seeking a hospital-based pathologist with medical directorship responsibilities to serve at Arlington Memorial Hospital and USMD Hospital Arlington.

Responsibilities

The position will handle a case mix that includes Surgical Pathology, both large and small resections/biopsies, Breast, GYN, GU, and Cytopathology. The position will rotate to cover frozens and on call coverage is expected. Cytopathology boarded candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree plus accredited pathology residency
• Must be board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology
• Board certification in Cytopathology a plus
• 2-3 years post residency experience desired
• Ability to spend consecutive hours with continued focus, interpreting tissues and cellular preparations through a microscope
• Ability to visually, audibly, and physically perform all job functions
• Must hold valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in TX or be eligible to obtain licensure
• Must hold active privileges in facility where any inpatient work is interpreted
• Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations
• Ability to communicate with decision makers in the laboratory and company
