• Assist in month-end closing and maintain files per policies.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for handling or contributing to all Accounts Payable functions, including but not limited to the following:

• Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate approvals.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail
• Process check requests
• Audit and process credit card bills
• Compile funding requests
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• 1099 maintenance, including ensuring that vendors are set up correctly in the ERP.
• Respond to all vendor inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
• Assist in month end closing
• Accurately maintain files and documentation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Previous Accounts Payable experience
• Proficient with Excel

• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Effort
