LKQ Corp is seeking an accounting professional to perform general accounting, ledger maintenance, and monthly close activities. You will analyze and report transactions, ensure policy compliance, and support process improvements within a corporate accounting environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Accounting preferred) and 1+ years of related experience. Proficiency with MS Office tools and the ability to manage multiple tasks is expected.

Responsabilités

• Perform general accounting activities, including preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
• Control and reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.).
• Assist with recurring and month-end accounting functions directed toward the processing of transactions.
• Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• Initiate and support continual process improvements.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Duties

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years related work experience.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Experience in a corporate accounting environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.
• Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others, and make presentations to departments or middle management.
• Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
• Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
• Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
• Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
