Job summary

GetHired, Inc. in Memphis seeks an Accounting Analyst to support accurate financial reporting, account reconciliations, and analysis of business results.

The role assists with month-end close, investigates discrepancies, and prepares reports to explain performance to management. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 3–5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and expertise in MS Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, supporting schedules, and reconciliations.

• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports and explain variances vs budgets/forecasts.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, payroll and other departments to resolve issues.
• Maintain organized accounting records and support for audits.

Job Purpose:

The Accounting Analyst supports accurate financial reporting,account reconciliations, and analysis of business results. This role assistswith month-end close, investigates accounting discrepancies, and preparesreports that help management understand financial performance.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities:

• Prepareand review journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations.
• Supportmonthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Analyzegeneral ledger activity and research unusual balances, transactions, anddiscrepancies.
• Preparefinancial reports and explain variances between actual results, budgets,forecasts, and prior periods.
• Reconcilebalance sheet accounts, including cash, prepaid expense, accruals and otherassigned accounts.
• Assistwith fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital expendituretracking.
• Reviewaccounting data for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.
• Collaboratewith accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other departments toresolve accounting issues.
• Prepareschedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Maintainorganized accounting records and documentation supporting transactions andaccount balances.
• Followestablished accounting policies, approval procedures, and internal controls.
• Identifyopportunities to improve reporting, accounting processes, and data accuracy.
• Completespecial analyses and other accounting-related assignments as needed.

QualificationRequirements:

• Bachelor’sdegree in accounting required.
• Threeto five years of experience in accounting, financial analysis or a relatedaccounting role.
• Workingknowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and lookup functions.
