Are you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and ready to work in a high-impact industry? Crane Valve Services is looking for a motivated AOV Field Service Technician to join our team! You'll play a key role in ensuring the safety and performance of nuclear power plant systems across the country.
What You’ll Do
As an AOV Field Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for:
Installing and setting up diagnostic test equipment for Air-Operated Valves (AOVs)
Calibrating instruments like I/P converters and valve positioners
Collecting and analyzing diagnostic data
Identifying issues during testing and ensuring proper equipment function
Following all safety and procedural guidelines
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED
At least 1 year of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience
Ability to read blueprints
Mechanical aptitude is a plus!
Skills & Traits
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Team player with good communication skills
Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment
Physical & Travel Requirements
Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts (up to 72 hours/week)
Able to travel for extended periods (weeks to months)
Lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, in confined spaces, and in hot environments
Comfortable wearing full protective gear, including respirators
Must pass drug/alcohol screening and background checks for nuclear site access
