Can recognize and understand the Air Operated Valve (AOV), actuator, positioner, I/P, and booster. Responsible for installing AOV diagnostic test equipment, data acquisition, AOV actuator setup, and instrument calibrations (i.e., I/P and Positioners). Understands traces, can select proper points for calibration, and verify data meets criteria specified in the valve data sheet. Has a basic understanding of AOV performance parameters and degradations by analyzing acquired data using automated, manual, and overlay analysis routines. Able to manually analyze direct stem force measurements to determine basic force parameters and, if applicable, switches and accelerometer/acoustics data.
