Job summary

Jobot in Carson City, NV is seeking an experienced AOI Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain AOI programs for high-mix electronics manufacturing. You will work with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production to reduce defects and improve first-pass yield.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of AOI programming/operation in electronics manufacturing.
• MRP experience required.
• Strong SMT process knowledge and PCB inspection methods.
• Electronics-focused training or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, validate, and maintain AOI inspection programs for PCB assemblies.
• Fine-tune inspection parameters to balance defect detection and false calls.
• Troubleshoot AOI issues and implement corrective actions.
• Review inspection results to identify trends with Quality/Manufacturing teams.
• Evaluate PCB assemblies for solder quality, component placement, polarity, and orientation.
• Support NPI by developing AOI criteria during product launches.
