Job summary

Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc. (SCADP) is hiring an AOD Support Staff I to assist beneficiaries in treatment, learn counseling functions, and support program safety and security on-site in Downey, CA.

The role involves group sessions, crisis management, and maintaining required EHR records while working under supervision to progress toward AOD counseling certification.

Qualifications

• Fingerprint clearance background check required.
• Valid Driver's license or State ID as required by DHCS.
• Ability to perform under emotional stress and handle challenging clients.

Responsibilities

• AOD COUNSELING under supervision learns screening, assessment and intake.
• Collects specimens for drug screening per policy and procedure.
• Collaborates with case manager and therapist to support treatment plans.
• Monitors program entrances, conducts bag and person screening, and maintains security.

Education

Registered and in good standing in an Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification program by an approved accrediting organization CCAPP CADTP or CADEE
