The Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Counselor at Phoenix House Orange County, Inc. provides individual and group counseling within adult/adolescent residential and outpatient programs in the City of Commerce, CA, supporting clients in residential and outpatient services.

You will coordinate assessments, treatment plans, and case management, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and assist in facilitating transitions back to the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered or certified as AOD Counselor by DHCS.
• Minimum one year of related experience.
• TB test clearance annually.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate Initial Assessment, Service Authorization, Treatment Plan and reviews with other treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling.
• Facilitate evidence-based treatment groups for assigned cohorts.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed by clients, residents, and families.
• Submit timely documentation and maintain records as required.
