Job summary

The Office of Attorney General Keith Ellison has a clear mission to help Minnesotans live with dignity, safety, and respect. The AGO provides hands-on antitrust experience for law students, reviewing documents, researching issues, and drafting written work.

Clerks must contribute significantly and may work with the Minnesota Farmers Union on legal education. Applicants should be prepared to work 20 hours a week during a twelve-week period beginning in January 2027.

Qualifications

• Current student in good standing with an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Writing sample up to 5 pages required to be included with a cover letter within the application submission.
• Ability to adapt in an inclusive, creative, and collaborative work environment; good judgement and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Review documents and research legal issues in antitrust law focused on food and agriculture markets.
• Draft written product and other materials for public and internal review.
• Work 20 hours per week during a twelve-week period starting January 2027; salary $20/hour; hybrid work arrangement.
