The Office of Attorney General Keith Ellison has a clear mission: we help Minnesotans afford their lives and live with dignity, safety, and respect. We are a dynamic group of dedicated professionals who choose public service as a calling, and we are actively and intentionally committed to supporting an internal culture that affirms that calling. The Office is one of Minnesota’s largest public law offices and as of 2026, has been recognized as a Top Workplace Minnesota six years in a row and Top Workplace USA five years in a row.
The Office is currently seeking three 2027 Spring Undergraduate Interns to join the Mondale-Humphrey Scholars program. This program has been designed to introduce undergraduate students to state service and the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office. As an undergraduate program we are seeking students with all types of majors and school or career goals. This opportunity is particularly suited for students who are not currently on a pre-law track or pursuing law school, as the work is designed to support broader exposure to public service and state government. Law students should seek out and apply for the Law Clerk program. Interns will have the opportunity to work directly with both legal and non-legal professionals supporting the mission of our Office.
This posting is for a 12-week Spring session, beginning January 2027. Interns will receive a salary of $20 per hour and are expected to work 10-20 hours per week.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment (combination of in-office work and telework).
