The ideal candidate has JD from top school, DC bar, 3-4 years antitrust experience, strong research and writing, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Washington, DC, in good standing.
• 3-4 years of post-JD antitrust and competition law experience.
• Experience handling antitrust litigation, merger reviews, and regulatory investigations.
• Experience representing clients before the FTC, DOJ, and state AGs preferred.
• Knowledge of merger clearance processes and cartel investigations.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to manage multiple matters.
• Experience working with clients and government agencies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in antitrust litigation in federal and state courts.
• Assist with merger clearance reviews and related filings.
• Advise clients during FTC/DOJ/state AG investigations.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on competition law issues.
• Draft motions, briefs, agency submissions, white papers, and memos.
• Support internal and government investigations involving antitrust concerns.
• Counsel clients on antitrust compliance and risk management.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on transactions and litigation.
• Monitor developments in antitrust enforcement and policy.

Our client, a premier international AmLaw 50 firm with a globally recognized Antitrust & Competition Practice, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside leading antitrust practitioners on some of the most significant merger reviews, government investigations, antitrust litigation matters, and compliance counseling engagements in the marketplace.

The successful candidate will advise sophisticated multinational clients at the intersection of business, government, and regulation while gaining exposure to cutting‑edge competition issues across a wide range of industries.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in Washington, DC, in good standing

• 3-4 years of post-JD experience (excluding judicial clerkships) in antitrust and competition law
• Experience handling antitrust litigation matters, merger review matters, and regulatory investigations
• Experience representing clients before the FTC, DOJ, and state attorneys general preferred
• Knowledge of merger clearance processes, cartel investigations, and government enforcement actions
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
• Exceptional writing, advocacy, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters simultaneously
• Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
• Experience working directly with clients and government agencies preferred

• Competitive Salary: Salary range $260,000 - $420,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
