Job summary

Servingschools in Maine is seeking a Grant Funded MTSS interventionist to provide direct small group and 1:1 support in reading, math, writing and SEL. You will help implement a systematic MTSS approach and coordinate with teachers on strategies and materials used during interventions.

The role reports to the MTSS Coordinator and starts with an anticipated opening in January 2027. Compensation includes hourly pay based on experience, per the Educational Technician and Secretary Collective

Qualifications

• Must have 90 hours of approved college credits.
• Educational Technician III Authorization (023) required.
• NCLB Requirement (028) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct small group and 1:1 intervention for reading, Math, Writing and SEL.
• Monitor student progress and document outcomes for MTSS.
• Assist with implementing a system-wide MTSS framework within the school.
• Communicate with teachers about strategies and materials used during interventions.

Job description

This is a Grant Funded Position

SUMMARY: Will provide direct small group and 1:1 intervention and progress monitoring for students who need support in reading, Math, Writing and SEL. Will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of a systematic school-wide approach to MTSS. Activities may include intervention groups, communicating regularly with teachers about strategies/material being covered during interventions and implementing specialized services to meet the need of each student. This position reports to the school MTSS Coordinator.

SALARY: Pay range: 21.24/hour (step 0-1) - $29.50/hour (step 17); Based on experience and accordance with the Educational Technician and Secretary Collective Bargaining Agreement.
