Job summary

The North Plainfield School District is seeking a Middle School Mathematics Teacher to deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction to diverse learners at North Plainfield Middle School. The successful candidate will promote critical thinking, support curriculum goals, and collaborate with colleagues.

Ten-month position with salary per negotiated agreement; responsibilities include differentiating instruction, using data to inform planning, integrating technology, and supporting IEPs/504

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey instructional certification appropriate for middle school mathematics.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics content, curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student achievement.

• Establish clear classroom routines and high academic and behavioral expectations
• Integrate instructional technology and digital resources to enhance student learning
• Implement student IEPs, Section 504 Plans, and other required instructional supports
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student achievement
• Participate in professional learning communities, department meetings, and ongoing professional development
• Maintain active student supervision and a safe, respectful learning environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Supervisor

Terms of Employment

Ten-month position. Salary in accordance with the negotiated agreement.

69,630 -103,470, commensurate with education and experience, in accordance with the negotiated agreement between the North Plainfield Board of Education and the North Plainfield Education Association.
