The North Plainfield School District, a culturally diverse Preschool - Grade 12 district in Somerset County serving approximately 3,300 students, is seeking a dynamic and student-centered High School Biology Teacher to join North Plainfield High School. Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey instructional certificate with appropriate endorsement to teach Biological Science
• Strong knowledge of biology content and the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Science

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned biology instruction
• Engage students in laboratory investigations, scientific inquiry, problem solving, and data analysis
• Create learning experiences that connect biological concepts to real-world applications

• Assess student learning regularly and use data to adjust instruction and provide appropriate interventions and enrichment

Terms of Employment

Ten-month position. Salary in accordance with the negotiated agreement.

Salary

$69,630-103,000, commensurate with education and experience, in accordance with the negotiated agreement between the North Plainfield Board of Education and the North Plainfield Education Association.
