No prior BD experience is required as training is provided; strong communication of complex science to stakeholders and understanding of early discovery workflows are valued.

Responsabilités

• Identify and develop external business opportunities across out-licensing, co-development and other strategic transactions.
• Lead development and presentation of business cases for external opportunities with robust analysis of assumptions, risks and considerations.
• Independently initiate, develop and present external opportunities to senior management.
• Lead cross-functional due diligence and alliance management with R&D, CMC, Clinical, Regulatory, Operations and Finance; provide executive-level reporting.
• Manage BD activities through the transaction lifecycle: proposals, term sheets, negotiations and alliance management.
• Contribute to development of BD/licensing strategy aligned with portfolio objectives.
• Represent the organization at industry, investor and partnering conferences.

About The Role

A unique opportunity for Antibody Discovery Scientists to transition into a commercial role focusing on out licensing cutting edge platforms on behalf of a global CRO/Biotech based in Boston.

Please note the role will be onsite in Boston with local travel 25%.

No previous experience is required as training is provided but most show ability to communicate complex science to multiple stakeholders and strong understanding of early discovery workflows!

The Role

• Identify and develop external business opportunities across out-licensing, co-development and other strategic transactions.
• Lead the development and presentation of compelling business cases for prioritized external opportunities, providing robust analysis of key assumptions, risks and internal/external considerations.
• Independently initiate, develop and present external opportunities to senior management.
• Lead cross-functional due diligence and alliance management, working closely with R&D, CMC, Clinical, Regulatory, Operations and Finance teams, while providing executive-level reporting and acting as the primary BD contact where required.
• Manage BD activities throughout the transaction lifecycle, including proposals, term sheet development, negotiations, deal execution and ongoing alliance management.
• Contribute to the development and evolution of the organisation’s business development and licensing strategy, ensuring alignment with broader corporate and portfolio objectives.
• Represent the organisation at industry, investor and partnering conferences, building and maintaining relationships across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Immunology, Cancer Biology or a related biomedical science discipline.
• Strong background in antibody drug discovery, with a deep understanding of target validation and hit-to-lead optimisation.
