Job summary

Oxford Biotherapeutics in the United States is seeking an experienced associate scientist to contribute to the Discovery Biologics Protein Science group. You will work independently and in a matrix environment to lead antibody and protein discovery programs for oncology targets.

Responsibilities include production and purification of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies, supporting immunogen design and assay development, and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS/BS with relevant biopharmaceutical experience in protein science.
• Experience with recombinant protein and antibody purification methods.
• Experience in biotech startup or fast-paced environment preferred.
• Strong project management and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of antibodies against novel targets for oncology.
• Support recombinant protein and antibody discovery plans (immunogen design, assay development, screening, and characterization).
• Produce and purify antibodies and proteins using mammalian expression systems and chromatography.
• Mentor junior colleagues and maintain accurate documentation.
