Job summary

Astranis is seeking an Antenna Intern for Winter 2027 to work with mechanical, thermal, and payload engineers on antenna design, build, and test for ongoing and next-generation satellite payloads.

Interns will leverage cutting-edge design tools and collaborate with vendors to validate performance through anechoic chamber testing; enrollment at a four-year university is required and the program lasts twelve weeks with hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a four-year university is required.
• Strong fundamentals in electromagnetics and antenna theory.
• Experience using vector network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
• Familiarity with CST/HFSS/TICRA and scripting in Matlab or Python.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and testing of antenna systems for satellite payloads.
• Collaborate with Mechanical/Structural/Thermal/Payload teams on co-design efforts.
• Work with vendors to design, procure, and validate antenna components and RF parts.
