Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. in San Francisco invites an Antenna Intern for Summer 2027 to work with mechanical, thermal, and payload engineers on antenna systems for current and next-gen satellites.

Responsibilities include using cutting-edge design tools to deliver high-performance antennas with on-orbit flexibility, coordinating with vendors for RF components, and validating performance in anechoic testing.

Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of electromagnetics and antenna fundamentals.
• Experience measuring components with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal sources.
• Demonstrated ability to solve engineering challenges in innovative and creative ways.
• Proficiency with CST, HFSS, TICRA and scripting in Matlab or Python.

Responsibilities

• Leverage design tools to realize high-performance antenna systems with on-orbit flexibility.
• Work with vendors to design and procure antenna and RF components and validate performance through anechoic chamber testing.
• Co-design antenna components and systems with Mechanical/Structural/Thermal/Payload Systems.
