Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Antenna Engineer (Starshield) to design and validate advanced antenna systems for next‑generation satellites and government applications. You will work on phased arrays, reflector antennas, and RF front ends, fabricating prototypes and testing through advanced software tools.

You will contribute to software for beamforming and collaborate across teams to meet stringent performance specs, including integration with spacecraft and associated subsystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering.
• 1+ years RF/antennas research or development experience (internship/thesis acceptable).
• 1+ years using 3D EM tools CST/HFSS/FEKO/EMPro/TICRA/XFDTD.
• Knowledge of impedance matching, microwave networks, and RF design.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced antenna and feed systems for phased array and reflector products.
• Fabricate and characterize prototypes of antennas and RF front ends.
• Develop software and test digital beamforming to demonstrate phased array functionality.
• Provide phased array expertise to set specs and debug satellite products.
• Lead or support antenna integration to spacecraft and systems.
• Analyze in-field RF performance data to improve and debug issues.
