Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Antenna Engineer for Satellites (Starlink) to lead advanced antenna design, prototyping, and testing across spacecraft, gateways, and customer hardware. You will interact with senior leadership to shape constellation technology and collaborate with cross-functional teams to move concepts from idea to manufacturing.

The role demands strong RF/antenna fundamentals, 2+ years in the field, and hands-on modeling with 3D EM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of RF/antenna research or development experience (internship/thesis acceptable).
• 1+ years using one of the 3D EM tools: CST, HFSS, FEKO, EMPro, TICRA or XFDTD.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced antenna and feed systems for next-gen products (phased array, reflector).
• Fabricate and characterize prototypes of antennas, feeds, and RF front ends.
• Contribute to software tests and validation of digital beamforming systems.
• Provide phased array expertise to set specs and debug RF issues.
• Perform design validation testing on prototypes and production designs.
• Support antenna integration into spacecraft and related systems.
• Analyze RF performance data and investigate improvements and debugging methods.
