Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts from process sheets or instructions to meet contractual requirements.
• Mount components on substrates using hand/power tools and epoxies.
• Perform fine soldering and crimping on delicate wires and boards.
• Interpret drawings, schematics and BOMs for assembly.
• Check functionality with multimeters, signal generators, or VNAs.
• Align and calibrate antenna hardware to tight tolerances; troubleshoot defects.
• Conduct structural testing to verify bond line integrity.

Job description

Position Summary With minimum supervision, perform functions related to electronic antenna assembly, for example, builds, wires, tests, and calibrates delicate antenna systems and electromechanical subassemblies by following precise engineering blueprints and schematics. Will be utilizing precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines and equipment. Must be available to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Works from process sheets or verbal instructions identifying the type and sequence of operations needed to construct a variety of parts to meet contractual requirements.
• Mount and secure electronic and mechanical components onto antenna substrates or frames using hand tools, power tools, and epoxies.
• Perform fine precision hand-soldering and crimping on delicate wires, cables, connectors, and circuit boards.
• Interpret complex assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOM).
• Check functionality using basic and advanced tools like multimeters, signal generators, or vector network analyzers.
• Align and calibrate antenna hardware to tight tolerances, troubleshooting and fixing defects as needed.
• Performs structural testing utilizing mechanical test equipment to verify bond line integrity.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb.
