Job summary

The 786 Chickasaw Alliance Group, LLC is seeking a Weather Forecaster/Observer responsible for developing aviation weather forecasts and preparing briefings for pilots, camps, and vessels. The position is based in North Charleston, SC and involves deployment to McMurdo Station, Antarctica.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience in weather forecasting, proven communication skills, and the ability to work in extreme environments. The role includes various benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a T1 Clearance and pass background checks.
• Valid U.S. passport required.
• Ability to perform job duties in extreme cold and dark environments.
• Must pass medical and dental examinations prior to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop forecasts and prepare weather briefings for pilots and other parties.
• Create weather charts and prepare briefing materials.
• Record and disseminate surface weather observations.
• Launch and track weather balloons.
