Matlen Silver is seeking an experienced Ansible Platform Engineer to support a multi-year migration from BladeLogic to Ansible Automation Platform. You will build, design, and administer the AAP, shaping a scalable automation environment.

The project starts with PoC activities and expands into a full implementation, with future OpenShift transitions and deep integration with PostgreSQL and Bitbucket. Strong collaboration across teams is required.

Matlen Silver is seeking an experienced Ansible Platform Engineer to support a multi-year initiative focused on migrating from BMC BladeLogic to Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). This individual will play a key role in building, designing, implementing, and administering the Ansible platform, helping establish a scalable and automated environment.

The project is expected to span 2–3 years, beginning with proof-of-concept activities before expanding into a larger implementation. The environment currently operates on virtual machines, with plans to transition to OpenShift in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, configure, and administer Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including implementations from the ground up.
• Support the migration from BladeLogic to Ansible, including automation development, customization, and cutover activities.
• Design platform capabilities and enhancements, contributing to system architecture and new feature development.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and YAML to translate business and technical requirements into automated solutions.
• Support integrations and backend technologies, including PostgreSQL and Bitbucket.
• Manage automation code and workflows through Bitbucket repositories.
• Help support the future evolution of the platform toward an OpenShift environment.
• Apply risk management, controls, and governance practices to application-related automation and platform activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, Linux, middleware, and application teams to deliver reliable automation solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including platform administration and configuration—not just playbook development.
• Experience deploying, implementing, or building AAP from scratch.
• Strong scripting skills with Python and YAML.
• Experience with Linux administration, middleware administration, DevOps, or infrastructure automation.
• Experience with system design, architecture, or designing platform enhancements.
• Experience supporting automation implementations, migrations, or platform transformations.
• Familiarity with Bitbucket and automated code management workflows.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar backend database technologies.
• Understanding of risk management, controls, and application governance processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BMC BladeLogic and migration to Ansible.
• Knowledge of TSO/ISPF or related TrueSight technologies.
• Experience with OpenShift or containerized platforms.
• Familiarity with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Previous Bank of America experience.
