Job summary

Anomatic in New Albany, OH, is seeking a Team Lead for the Anodizing department. This production-floor role leads daily operations of the Racking, Take-Off and Autoload lines and coaches the team to meet quality and throughput goals.

The position requires at least one year of prior leadership in manufacturing and comfort with shift work. The role reports to Operations and offers weekday hours, with opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• One-year prior leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Good organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day activities and communications of departmental production team.
• Trains and develops departmental team and leads employees in Continuous Improvement Programs.
• Approves vacation requests, time-off and supports daily operations.
• Supervises work output and effectiveness for team members.
• Ensures accurate training of employees in proper job performance and technique.
• Partners with cross-functional team to ensure throughput and quality standards.
• Documents progress of new employees and assists with 90-day evaluations.
• Observes progress and performance of rackers and take-off personnel and assists management.
• Tracks and posts daily departmental metrics as established by Plant Management.
• Ensures inventory of departmental PPE is adequate for regular production.
• Assists with any other duties and projects as required.

JOB SUMMARY

This production floor position is responsible for leading daily operations of the Racking, Take-Off and Autoload lines. Leads the activities of other employees through technical knowledge, experience and sound decision-making abilities to support product quality and ensure customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Leads day-to-day activities and communications of departmental production team.
• Trains and develops departmental team and leads employees in Continuous Improvement Programs.
• Approves vacation requests, time-off and supports daily.
• Supervises work output and effectiveness for team members.
• Ensures accurate training of employees in proper job performance and technique.
• Partners with cross-functional team. Responds to Production Operations and Quality Control to ensure product output meets throughput and quality standards set forth by Operations and Quality management.
• Document the progress of new employees and assist the Anodizing Process Manager in the 90-day evaluations for these employees.
• Observe the progress and performance of all rackers and take-off personnel and assist the Anodizing Process Manager and Plant Manager in the evaluation of these employees.
• Track and post daily departmental metrics as established by Plant Management.
• Ensure inventory of departmental PPE is adequate to perform regular production.
• Assist with any other duties and projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Good organizational and communication skills
• Able to work overtime when needed
• Ability to do shift work as needed
• One-year prior leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting, and experience in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
