Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for Lakeside 55, a 20-bed digestive and pulmonary health unit. The role combines 50% staffing leadership with 50% unit leadership to deliver safe, age-specific nursing care and foster a supportive, family-like environment.

The ANM will lead interdisciplinary collaboration, oversee daily operations, and participate in discharge planning and quality initiatives while upholding UH policies and PHI protections.

Responsibilities

• 1. Routinely provide patient care.
• 2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• 3. Maintains employee records.
• 4. Identifies needs for and provides Staff education/staff development.
• 5. Participates in Discharge planning, community resource referrals and education.
• 6. Committee involvement, participate with quality improvement initiatives.
• 7. Oversees daily operations of unit/area in a cost effective manner.
• 8. Involved in Community outreach activities as pertinent Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers.
• 9. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
• 10. Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization
