Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort seeks a skilled technician to support multiple venues by maintaining animatronic and show/effects control systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance, ensuring reliability and safety of highly specialized equipment.

The role requires completing PQS qualifications, associated technical training, and willingness to train others. A valid Florida driver’s license is required, with opportunities to contribute to show quality improvements and

Qualifications

High school diploma required; technical training preferred.
Associate degree in Electronics preferred; 10+ years experience in lieu.
3–5 years troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems.
Proficiency with OEM specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Change time-limited parts, calibrate equipment per OEM specifications, and perform maintenance.
Repair equipment due to safety, reliability, or show quality issues found during PMs or downtimes.
Troubleshoot to component level using test equipment, schematics, and prints; document findings.
Enter inspections, corrective actions, and repairs into the CMMS system.
