Job summary

Montserrat College-Art Gallery in Beverly, MA seeks a Teaching Assistant for AN390 Animation Studio Projects to support a faculty member in delivering course content and assisting students. The TA will be available during class times Tuesday and Thursday 3:40pm–6:20pm, with 5–10 hours of planning before the semester and a weekly setup of materials and space.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, managing course Discord and Canvas, mentoring students, and assisting with demos.

Qualifications

• Must be a junior or senior with GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Previously taken Animation Studio Projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a secondary teaching instructor in class and be available during meeting times.
• Assist a faculty member with teaching-related tasks.
• Prepare course materials and classroom setup prior to class meetings.
• Uphold a professional and responsible demeanor.
• Assist with demos and hands-on activities.
• Be a resource for students outside of class (peer tutoring).
• Maintain the course Canvas site.
• Potentially substitute if faculty is absent.
• Attend TA workshops.
• Maintain a teaching log/journal.
