Responsibilities

• Serve as a secondary teaching instructor in class and be available during class meeting times.
• Assist a faculty member with teaching-related tasks.
• Prepare course materials and classroom setup prior to class meetings.
• Uphold a professional and responsible demeanor.
• Assist with demos and hands-on activities.
• Be a resource for students outside of class (peer tutoring).
• Maintain the course Canvas site.
• Possibly substitute if faculty is absent.
• Attend TA workshops throughout the semester.

Job description

Title: Teaching Assistant for AN220-2 Animation I: Principles

Department: Animation

Hours Needed Each Week: 8-9 hours per week

Expected Duration of the Job: Fall 2026

Pay: $16 per hour

Summary: Must be available Tuesday/Thursday 8:20am-11am during the semester with 5-10 hours of planning before the start of the semester. Work with the Faculty with the delivery of the course content and assisting students with assignments as needed. Prepare the instructional space for classes on a weekly basis, making sure the necessary course materials are prepared, the classroom is organized and set-up for instruction; clean-up classroom space and materials as needed at end of class. Help prepare and manage the course Discord and other course materials.

Required Qualifications:

Uphold a professional and respectful demeanor

Must be a junior or senior, 3.0 or higher GPA
