Job summary

The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full-time Animal Assistance and Transport Programs Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Animal Assistance, Rescue, and Transport Programs.

This role oversees programs that provide critical services to pets and pet owners in need, coordinates animal intake and movement, and strengthens rescue and transport partnerships to help connect animals with appropriate placement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• Certified Animal Welfare Administrator (CAWA) certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• 5+ years' experience in animal welfare leadership or related field.
• Demonstrated track record in leading and developing large teams.
• Strategic thinker in fast-paced environments who can translate concepts into actionable plans.
• Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities under pressure with urgency.
• Experience in customer experience, customer lifecycle, CRM.
• Strong budgeting, performance management, and financial analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of Animal Assistance, Rescue, and Transport Programs.
• Coordinate animal intake and movement; strengthen rescue and transport partnerships.
• Develop and implement programs, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and impact.
• Build and maintain strategic local and national partnerships.
• Monitor program performance, capacity, and budgets; manage financial reporting.
