Bay County is seeking an Animal Services Division Manager to lead daily operations across field services, shelter, licensing, and outreach. The role focuses on staff supervision, program development, and coordination with public agencies during emergencies.

The ideal candidate will have a 10-year track record in animal services, a supervisory background, and Florida certifications or the ability to obtain them within 6 months. This is a full-time, on-site position with disaster response duties.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 10 years in animal services with at least 5 in a supervisory capacity.
• Must possess a Florida driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Possess Florida Certification in Euthanasia or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Possess Florida Animal Control Officer Certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Possess certification in operation of the pathological incinerator or obtain within 6 months of hire.

Mansioni

• Directs daily operations for all areas within Animal Services, including field services, shelter intake, cruelty cases, rabies control, licensing, lost & found, fosters, rescues, outreach and volunteers.
• Plans and directs work of staff responsible for enforcement, housing, shelter maintenance and related program development.
• Oversees grants applications and administers outreach and volunteer programs to drive adoptions and humane education.
• Represents Animal Services at public functions and conducts presentations; coordinates with Sheriff’s Office and other agencies on emergencies.
