Job summary

Florence County is seeking a Program Coordinator to manage outreach programs, including the county’s TNR program, and to foster relationships with animal rescue organizations. The role involves coordinating transports, evaluations, and interactions with the public, rescues, and clinics.

Responsibilities include supervising inmates during daily activities, assisting with adoptions, and ensuring accurate medical records while performing health evaluations and maintenances of kennels.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional experience working with animals preferred.
• Requires S.C. Driver’s license.
• Must obtain Humane Euthanasia certification within one year of hire.
• Must obtain a Category 8 Pesticide Applicator certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the county’s TNR program with citizens, transports, and veterinarians.
• Builds relationships with animal rescue partners and promotes adoptable animals.
• Assists with intake and evaluation of animals, including medical records.
