Job summary

Strategic Government Resources, Inc. is seeking an Animal Services Outreach Coordinator to expand lifesaving opportunities for animals.

You will build relationships with rescues, fosters, and shelters; identify placement opportunities for adoptable animals; verify health certificates; and coordinate transfers to partners and foster homes. High school diploma and two years in an animal shelter are required, plus a Texas driver’s license and MVR check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years of animal shelter experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check.
• Completion of euthanasia training within six months; euthanasia not required as a job duty.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with rescue organizations, foster networks and shelters.
• Identify placement opportunities for adoptable and rescue animals.
• Verify health certificates before sending to rescue partners or transports.
• Coordinate safe, timely transfers to rescue partners and foster homes.
• Maintain accurate animal records and support efforts to increase the shelter’s live release rate.
